Welcome (back) to Seattle Wireless Interest Group (SEAWIG)!
Potentially re-forming the Seattle Wireless Interest Group (SEAWIG) to meet monthly (likely on the Eastside) and discuss Wireless (mostly focused on Broadband Wireless Internet Access).
Around 2000, Seattle Wireless Interest Group (SEAWIG) was a group that met monthly in the Seattle area to discuss wireless - applications, technology, companies, trends, etc.
The group ultimately disbanded due to the workload of the organizers - Steve Stroh, Tina Stroh, Scott Bird, and Cliff (?) and the expense of our meeting location in Bellevue.
But the wireless industry didn't get any less interesting in the years since, and with the ease of updating web sites, blogs, mailing lists, etc. and a potential new site in Mill Creek to meet that's easy for Steve and Tina to coordinate, and low (enough) cost that it would be affordable, we've begun to explore the possibility of re-forming SEAWIG and restarting monthly meetings, possibly in Fall 2008.
If you're interested in attending SEAWIG meetings, please email Steve Stroh - [email protected].
Thanks,
Steve
